The current controversy about the City’s various proposals to add a parking lot close to the shore of Lake Ontario is linked to values we share about the importance of walking in our neighbourhoods. In 2002 our city endorsed this wonderful charter. It really speaks to many of the heartfelt concerns expressed about our green waterfront at many recent community meetings opposing the parking lots. As the next councillor for our Ward 14, I hope to bring into alignment the fine words of the City’s pedestrian charter and the plans for improving our waterfront.
